Spreading machine for fully automatic cream application by the contact method.
With the contact method, the wafer sheet takes the cream from the spreading roller through direct contact. All wafer sheets, including the cover sheets which are not to be covered with cream, are passed under the spreader head.
Depending on the selected wafer sandwich composition the conveyor belt is raised and contact between the wafer sheets and the spreading roller is established in order to apply cream to the wafer sheets, and the conveyor belt is lowered in order for the cover sheets to pass through without cream application.
In the downstream stacking station the required number of creamed sheets are placed one above the other and a cover sheet is applied on top in order to form the desired sandwich.
